We want to thank Aunt Nancy for the piano. When she learned that little Emily had problems with her eyes she encouraged us to start exposing her to music. She even went so far as to send her some music of Andrea Bocelli (who is blind) and also generously bought Emily a piano.
Here she is playing it for the first time.

Have you checked out Brooke on my sidebar? Remember Brooke Benton who you met at the park from Hawthorne ward? She has a great blog and I'm sure she'd love to hear from you!
Amanda, Emily's eyes just didn't form right. She has anterior and posterior disgenisus and almost no optic nerve. We found out because her eyes just didn't look right to me from the time she was born. It took her pediatrician about 10 days to see what I did and we have been going to a specialist about 2 hours away since then. Although we don't know anything for absolute sure. We do know that it is miraculous that she is mentally whole and that she is highly likely to be blind but could have a sense of light and dark.
We are waiting for Emily to confirm or deny that.
I wish that they could dive through the computer too so we could all see each other!! :) Maybe this summer??? Are you guys still planning on coming to visit?? Love you guys! Oh and is Aunt Nancy someone from Tyler's side of the family?? That littl red piano is so cute and it looks like Emily AND Hannah really like it?!
